I signed up in January 2012, right after my son, Matthew was born. Matthew had chronic dry skin, and I was referred to a well known, widely advertised baby lotion to help it clear. After religious application, it kept getting worse. Desperate for a solution, I attended a Jordan Essentials pampering party where I learned about our Shea Body Butter. I took home a sample, and ordered a tube. After only 2 uses, his dry skin began to clear. The tube came in, and I've never looked back. 

Jordan Essentials changed my outlook on his skincare, and I signed up to share this revalation with others. After spending time with my sponsor, I was educated on safe cosmetics and issues with leading product ingredients. I learned the product I had been using was alcohol-based. Alcohol, as in the product I was using on his belly button to dry it out.

Ever since, I've learned about ingredients, what they mean, and why they're dangerous. I've also learned that we DON'T USE them. So, in addition to Jordan Essentials basing their ingredients on fruits, nuts, veggies, oils, and seeds; here are a few ingredients on which we DON'T base them:

• DEA
• Isopropyl Alcohol Mineral Oil (Check your liptubes, ladies!)
• Parabens (Read your lotion bottles)
• SLS [Sodium Laureate Sulfate] (Shampoo, anyone?)
• Aluminum (Check your deodorant stick!)
• Talc (what does your mineral makeup contain?)
